Kalonzo, Mudavadi, Wetangula, Moi unveils a new Coalition Party

KANU, Wiper, Ford Kenya and ANC Party have officially launched their coalition dubbed as Okoa Kenya Alliance (OKA). In a press statement that was delivered on Thursday at Serena Hotel, the new coalition partners agreed not to field candidates in the forthcoming by-elections.
“One Kenya Alliance will not field candidates in the Garissa senatorial contest, Juja and Bonchari. We shall support the Jubilee candidates in those regions,” Kalonzo stated.
The meeting that was convened at Serena was attended by four party leaders, Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Gideon Moi (KANU), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and a few members. Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku and Starehe MP Charles Jaguar were among Jubilee Party members who attended the press release. 
Ford Kenya Party leader read the statement on behalf of the coalition members, where he blasted ODM for ousting Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala as Senate Deputy Minority Leader. He used the occasion to amplify their election victories in the just concluded by-elections.
“We appreciate the role of KANU, specifically its party chairman Gideon Moi for his unrelenting support in all the three by-elections despite the fact that KANU did not field a candidate in any of them,” senator Wetangula stated.
The Ford Kenya boss celebrated the achievement of the two-third gender rule the senate through the election of Senator Agnes Kavindu to represent Machakos County.
Wetangula stated: “The election of Senator Agnes Kavindu has elevated the senate to achieve the two thirds gender parity rule required under our constitution.”

Uproar after armed goons infiltrate women press briefing at KHRC

Armed militia stormed KHRC, causing lots of chaos, confusion and mayhem. Goons disrupted Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHCR) press conference in Nairobi on Sunday, and accused the organizers for planning Saba Saba protests . Mothers had convened at the KHRC offices to address issues related to seeking Justice for victims of police brutality. The attack prompted the conveners to scamper for safety. According to Standard Media, one journalist attached to them lost a phone which was snatched from him by one of the goons.
